Includes nut and bolt check. Inspection of brakes and derailleurs to ensure they are working correctly, not frayed or damaged. Checking chain stretch, airing up tires if needed, making sure bearings in hubs, headset, and bottom bracket. Inspect for cracks, broken or bent parts, inspect teeth on sprockets/cassettes/free wheels and pulley wheels. Make sure bars, forks and brake levers are installed correctly, a very common problem with department store bike builds.
